The Importance Of Play In An Organisation’s Creativity

This event has now ended.
In the first of the AND: Elevenses series, and as part of Leeds Digital Festival, Samuel Yau, Lead UX Designer at AND Digital, will explore the importance of play and how it’s essential to an organisation’s creativity.

Play is an important part of childhood development, but what happens when adults forget their sense of play?
Applying play into everyday work can encourage creativity and productivity, opening the mind and allowing us to apply new methods of communication.
In this session we will discuss and demonstrate how important play can be to an organisation, including:
  • Theory of Play and why it’s good for us
  • How to inject play into your organisation to generate creativity and value
  • Examples of injecting play into everyday use
  • How you can play remotely with work colleagues

About AND: Elevenses

In the new normal of working from home due to Covid-19, it’s easy to lose track of time and work all day, however, without regular breaks, productivity, focus and wellbeing can dwindle.

So, to help break up your day, we’ve launched Elevenses - a 45-minute remote session where you can learn new skills, network with others and take a well-deserved break from work.
