Creative Apprenticeships offer an exciting route into the creative and cultural sector for non-graduates with the drive, creativity and motivation to succeed.
They are real jobs, with accredited training, that can fill a specific business need by responding to any skills gaps you are facing.
Building on the success of the first cohort of Creative Apprenticeships in Greater Manchester, we are now looking for employers who would like to seize the opportunity to be part of our second cohort.
To find out what an apprentice could bring to your business and/or to attend our employers event on 23rd May, please contact Belinda Peach on 07875 942882 or email belindapeach@peachy.co

Briefing Note
Creative Apprenticeships offer a new exciting route into the creative and cultural sector for non-graduates with the drive, creativity and motivation to succeed.
The Creative Apprenticeships programme has been created by the Sector Skills Council, Creative & Cultural Skills, and developed in collaboration with employers, to open up new entry routes into employment in the sector. The apprenticeships are real jobs with training, designed with 16 – 24 year old non-graduates in mind.
In 2010, Greater Manchester hosted its first cohort of Creative Apprentices and, building on this success, we are now looking for employers who would like to seize the opportunity to be part of the second cohort from July 2011.
The programme enables creative and cultural organisations to recruit a keen newcomer to the industry, who can fill a specific business need by responding to current or future skills gaps. The apprentice benefits from accredited training provided by The Manchester College, usually at no cost to the employer (depending on the age of the apprentice). Meanwhile, employers are able to train their apprentice up in the specific role they want them to fill, and to shape them into the employee they need for their organisation.
Employers can even transfer existing members of staff onto the Creative Apprenticeship programme, in order to benefit from the training provided. The only prerequisite is that the apprentice cannot have a degree.
