Event Description
Take advantage of a unique opportunity to meet a delegation of Indian electronics and IT companies, led by Mr. Sachin Pilot, Minister of State for IT and Communications.
India’s IT industry is globally renowned and is worth £30 billion. It is estimated that, on its own, the media and entertainment sector will be worth £15billion by 2014. In addition, the semiconductor sector which primarily includes design services and electronic component production is estimated to grow from £16 billion in 2009 to £23 billion in 2011.
To make commercial links between UK and Indian companies in these sectors and to build innovative technology solutions for the Indian (and other global) markets - building on the UK's strength in innovative technology and applications, particularly from R&D roots, the UKIBC and UKTI are bringing a delegation to Manchester on 10 December.
To mark this occasion, we are delighted to invite you to an interactive discussion, where you can hear from Minister Pilot and leading Indian businesses where the commercial partnership opportunities are for UK and Indian businesses.

UK India Technology Forum
The unparalleled growth in the Indian IT, digital media and electronics sectors has created immense opportunities for British companies to do business with India. While there has been some success, there is enormous untapped opportunity. In order to help UK companies access that opportunity, the UK India Business Council and UKTI launched the UK India Technology Forum.
The UK India Technology Forum is also one of the most important mechanisms for delivering Enabling Innovation India, which is a 3 year programme launched by Dr. Vince Cable in India in July 2010.
