Key responsibilities: 

  • Develop rate proposals that support and optimise retail performance, through analysis of mix, demand, and loss ratio trends.
  • Ensure rate changes are approved, accurately implemented, and deliver the intended value.
  • Conduct competitor and market activity analysis to inform pricing strategies.
  • Build and review risk and demand models.
  • Support the development of new deals, offers and product testing initiatives.
  • Working closely with ML Operations to build and implement new tooling across Pricing.
  • Ensure the customer is at the heart of all pricing decisions, ensuring fair value is delivered, with a strong focus on the impact on existing customers.
  • Data reconciliation, ensuring thorough process documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with managers, peers, and stakeholders.

Work arrangements:

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Your skills & experience: 

  • Experience in an Insurance Pricing role is essential
  • Degree (2:1 or higher) in a mathematics-related discipline
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with knowledge of tools like R, Python, or similar, and statistical techniques
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Ability to build stakeholder relationships and gain buy-in
  • Resilient and motivated, able to persevere through setbacks and work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Eager to learn and continuously develop skills
  • Thrive in team environments
