Deliverables:

• lead and motivate multiple multi-disciplinary teams, helping them organise and plan their work, ensuring they deliver products and services that actually meet users’ needs

• ensure teams clearly communicate their plans and progress through their plans using recognised agile practices

• provide data to help report on the programme to the portfolio and senior management team

• identify the people, skills, and resources that the teams need to deliver to the agreed goals

• identify and communicate risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers

• working with senior leaders in GDS and other senior stakeholders to ensure all needs are understood and to influence strategic direction

• develop, guide and coach your delivery manager line reports

• manage stakeholders to ensure good relations and effective communication

• actively participate in the Delivery Manager community, learning, sharing and applying skills and knowledge to improve

Skills Required

• experience working in Alpha phases of project life cycle

• experience working in the service assessment stages

• procurement experience

• experience with shaping work and take whole problems and deal with them

• draw out key deliverables from complex areas

• have successfully delivered complex digital projects and products

• understand agile and lean methodologies and how they help deliver products and services at scale

• have a good understanding of the digital landscape

• are confident matrix-managing multi-disciplinary teams

• can promote agile practices across an organisation
