About The Role
You will be joining a team already producing innovative work within the National Security, Intelligence and Law Enforcement sectors. Our teams are efficient (Naimuri means no waste).

The Systems Engineering role will provide a candidate with a chance to work across multiple projects using a wide range of technologies. A regular workday would consist of deployments, code reviews, fixes to existing code (usually IaC), design sessions, and ticket planning.

The role of a Systems Engineer at Naimuri takes many forms, best complementing your Engineering skills and personal working style.

You will need to be a self-starter, and be able to challenge existing knowledge and ideas. You will have experience in cloud technologies (AWS and Azure), Kubernetes and containers, CI/CD, ticket management, Git, open-source technologies.

The Team
The Platform Team is a multi-skilled team working across a wide range of projects at Naimuri to provide consultancy of Cloud Platform and DevSecOps best practices.

A large portion of the role will be participating in design sessions with the whole team. Ensuring you are confident where your gaps in knowledge are is essential.

About You
You may have a degree that may be in a related field. You might not and can demonstrate how you have trodden the path for yourself.

We don’t expect you to have practised all of the following. However, the items listed are likely to be used in this role. It is advised that you should have opinions on several of the topics.

Key Areas

  • AWS (other clouds OK too);
  • Terraform;
  • Git (and the workflows associated);
  • CI/CD technologies (GitLab pipelines preferred);
  • Kubernetes;
  • Docker (knowledge of building, maintaining, and running);
  • Ansible;
  • Bash/scripting;
  • Linux system administration;
  • Python (other modern languages OK);
  • Team working, able to pick up issues and help when needed;
  • Management of tickets, estimates, and workload;
  • Challenge designs and speak up;
  • Ticket management (GitLab preferred);

Above all else, we look for people with the right attitude and tenacity to continually improve themselves. You’ll have the freedom and autonomy to do your best work, with plenty of support along the way.
