Code Nation connects with Fast Web Media to target digital skills gap

Digital training specialists Code Nation (wearecodenation.com) has partnered with marketing agency Fast Web Media as it gears up to significantly grow its business and geographical reach and, in turn, positively impact the digital skills gap faced by the UK.

Fast Web Media won a highly competitive pitch as their approach was congruent with Code Nation’s ethos of helping the UK ready itself for Industry 4.0 and the ever increasing demand for technical skills including coding.

The agency has committed to helping drive greater awareness of Code Nation courses, which are open to everybody, regardless of coding knowledge. In only 12 weeks, students can become junior developers through the company’s immersive learning programme.

Code Nation’s instructors and colleagues work to place graduates at no fee to employers, on average less than 16 days after the course completion. Students can self-fund, join on scholarships or take on apprenticeships with some the UK’s largest brands.

As a technology based business, Fast Web Media has also signed up to become a Code Nation Pledger, providing valuable industry insights to the students whilst helping to shape the coding talent of the future and providing potential employment opportunities to course graduates.

Speaking of the partnership, Andy Lord, CEO for Code Nation said: “We have a lot of exciting plans ahead and it was essential to find a partner to go on the journey with us. Fast Web Media displayed the passion and commitment to our mission of being able to teach anybody with the desire to learn, to code in just 12 weeks. We pride ourselves on creating job-ready software developer professionals, nurturing untapped talent through an industry guided curriculum and a personal well-being programme. We can’t wait to get going.”

Fast Web Media’s Head of Agency, Rob Weatherhead said: “Code Nation is a great business that does amazing work, not only in helping people looking to take their first steps into coding, but also in realising their potential in an increasingly digital world. Enhancing Britain’s digital skills is one of the most important challenges we face and we’re committed to helping Code Nation make a positive impact.”
