Dark Matter Commerce announces new collective structure to support clients in a ‘new era of transformational digital commerce’

Dark Matter Commerce, a leading Manchester-based digital commerce transformation collective, has announced a new operating model and vision following its acquisition of performance marketing specialists Bring Digital in May.

Jon Woodall, CEO of Dark Matter Commerce, explained, “We’re entering a new era of digital commerce following three years of expedited shifts in e-tail technology, online shopping and brands adopting digital commerce following the pandemic. Dark Matter Commerce’s new operating model is designed to allow us to grow our capabilities and support clients to create the infrastructures and capabilities they need to compete in this new era of customer choice.”

The new operating model unifies Dark Matter Commerce’s agencies to allow for partnership, each maintaining its own brand, identity and specialisms so that clients have access to a range of e-commerce capabilities and solutions.

It sees the creation of a new forum for Dark Matter’s Commerce teams consisting of Jon Woodall, Jaywing founder Martin Boddy, Hannah Eames, Alyx Gerrards, Molly Smith, Stephen Kenealy, Jake Smith, Bring Digital CEO Justin Young and Matt Pomroy, Investor Director at Foresight Group.

Woodall says, “By operating as a collective our teams can focus on client successes rather than competing with one another. The structure also gives us a platform for sustainable growth. Our vision is to create an era-defining collective of expert innovators and agencies to transform digital commerce at scale. Ultimately we’re building the world’s only collective focused exclusively on transformational digital commerce.”

On its new website, launched to mark the creation of the collective, Dark Matter Commerce writes, “CMOs and CTOs want frictionless marketing partners to integrate more complex, strategic marketing needs and deliver better consumer experiences. The integration of agency, technology, and marketing services is disrupting the current landscape of holding companies, independent agencies, digital networks, and technology consultancies. The new era of digital commerce is defined by marketing solutions delivered by teams of unified specialists.”
