Social SEO is happening now

“Interesting little update this month - Instagram’s letting Google and Bing index public posts from professional accounts. So instead of just usernames or bios popping up, your posts, Reels, captions, and even hashtags could be showing up on Google. Basically, the stuff you’re already posting could start pulling in search traffic.

Feels like we’re heading into the ‘social SEO’ era properly now. You’ve got brands and influencers potentially ranking on Google just from their Insta posts, not just blog content or landing pages. It’s still early days, but I can absolutely see this shifting how people use Instagram - less focus on trends and vibes, more on actual discoverability. Wouldn’t surprise me if we see Instagram-specific SEO tools pop up soon.

Personally, I think this is pretty big. Social content getting proper search visibility feels like it’ll shake up how people plan content. I’m curious, do you reckon it’ll change how you use Insta or are you ignoring it like Threads?”

Hyvä Commerce is Now Generally Available

“This month, the brilliant team over at Hyvä have released their much-anticipated Hyvä Commerce platform, and it’s now Generally Available.

Google Launches New Insights Tab in Search Console

“Google’s rolling out a new ‘Insights’ tab in Search Console, and it’s a proper time-saver. You can now see what pages are trending up or down at a glance, with quick insights into which content is performing or underperforming.

It also shows you which search terms are driving more or less traffic to your site, giving you a cleaner, more visual way to get a performance snapshot without digging through endless rows of URLs and numbers.

The data itself isn’t new, but Insights pulls it together in a much more useful way, with quicker takeaways, easier reporting, and better decisions. Rollout started in late June and should be hitting everyone’s accounts soon.”
