This apprenticeship offers the chance to build hands‑on experience with IT systems that keep essential services running. You’ll join the Configuration Management Team, who make sure every laptop, server and software licence is tracked, maintained and managed effectively across the organisation. It’s a behind‑the‑scenes role that has a big impact.
What you'll be doing
As an apprentice, you’ll learn how to manage IT assets and configuration data, working with tools like ServiceNow and SNOW Licence Manager. You’ll help maintain accurate records, support audits, contribute to software governance and work on real projects from day one. Four days each week are spent in the team gaining experience, with one day dedicated to studying for your Level 4 Digital Infrastructure Engineer qualification.
It’s a brilliant route for anyone who’s curious, organised, likes problem‑solving and wants to understand how technology works within a major public organisation.
