The LEAD (Leading Enterprise and Development) Programme is specifically designed to help small businesses develop and grow by integrating expert business knowledge, inspirational leadership and the wealth of experience of other like-minded business owners.
Aimed at business owners and managers with between 5 and 50 staff and a North West trading address, LEAD is a practical and highly-effective 10-month leadership development programme which has a proven track record of providing a hugely positive impact on both the development of the business and on the personal development of the business leader, with 90% of delegates on the pilot LEAD programme seeing a £200K increase in turnover.
LEAD concentrates on two areas of the business: the business itself and the personal development of the owner-manager. The programme is made up of several elements which run alongside each other over the 10 months, and includes:
- 2 day Overnight Residential
- Masterclasses – covering topics such as Finance, Operations, Succession Planning, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Business Strategy and Business Leadership
- One-to-one coaching
- Action Learning Sets
- Business Shadowing and Exchanges
- Online Forums
As a member of Manchester Digital the University of Salford would like to offer you an opportunity to take part in our fourth and final LEAD cohort, which is starting on March 23rd 2011.
With only a limited number of places now available, anyone interested in joining the programme should contact Liz Walker, LEAD Administrator, on 0161 295 2888 or email her at l.walker@salford.ac.uk for more information. Deadline for applications is 18th March 2011.
Requiring a commitment of 2 days of time per month, LEAD is a high-value programme - the cost to each delegate being a maximum of £2,000. You may however be eligible for additional funding which will potentially reduce this cost if you meet the relevant criteria needs.
The LEAD Programme is supported by the NWDA and the University of Salford is one of thirteen providers across the North West.
