The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) is calling on researchers and creative industry professionals to apply to host a new creative facility for the UK’s renowned screen and performance sectors.
CoSTAR (Convergent Screen Technologies and performance in Realtime) is a major UKRI-AHRC research and innovation infrastructure investment (estimated £75.6 million investment over six years, subject to business case approvals).
Funded primarily through the UKRI Infrastructure Fund, it will support a network of experimental labs to research the development and use of convergence of gaming, screen, performance and wider digital entertainment sectors.
The funding opportunity is open for applications from 11 October 2022 until 2 February 2023 on the UKRI funding finder.
SODA is hosting a CoSTAR briefing event on Tuesday 1 November 2022, 10:00 - 13:00. The event will be an opportunity for potential bidders and consortia to learn more about the CoSTAR programme and find out the full details of the application process.
Agenda
The CoSTAR Briefing + Q&A will be followed by a panel discussion. Refreshments will be provided and there'll be a chance to network with delegates and the CoSTAR team.
