Job description

As a DDaT advisor for CDDO you will be:

  • You will advise and support major DDaT Projects on best practice (including the Government Service Standard, Technology Code of Practice and other relevant policies and guidance), and enforce mandatory policies.
  • You will make recommendations to senior leaders in Government and Cabinet Office Ministers on these projects, helping them exercise control over government delivery and spending plans.
  • You will build trusted relationships with technology leaders, including at CIO/CTO level, across several organisations, providing (or channelling) expert advice to them, and influencing their plans. You will support the transformation of the cross-government DDaT Assurance service that we lead, by owning or contributing to continuous improvement workstreams.
  • Many of the Government projects that you are involved with will be of a scale ranging in value from tens of millions to billions of pounds. Some of these projects will be readily recognisable from the news or will directly impact the lives of people you know, tackling the biggest issues of the day. Your work will help people succeed in tackling these issues.

  • engaging and influencing at senior levels.
  •  advising teams on, or actively delivering digital transformation or enterprise technology ● agile delivery methodologies & processes (SCRUM, Kanban etc) and working alongside a user centred design function
  • advising on enterprise level digital, data or technology requirements, including use and deployment on Cloud based platforms.
