Business Analyst

Codurance -

Full-time (Permanent)
Published on
15 April 2021

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst that shares the same values of pragmatism, professionalism and transparency that we do. Currently, we are all working remotely due to Covid-19. As things start to return to normal, any travel would be restricted to your main office branch (London, Manchester or Barcelona) - we’re not a typical consultancy and won’t be asking you to travel all over the place! Any client work that is outside of these locations would be undertaken remotely.

We support our clients in many ways and you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of different internal and client projects. Perhaps you’ll work on a client project from our offices with our team delivery approach. This may be a greenfield project for a startup, or helping modernise a mission-critical system for a large enterprise client. Or perhaps you’ll work as an embedded team member, working within our client's existing development team to help them to get better at writing their own software.

As a Technical Business Analyst at Codurance, you will be working closely with the client (both stakeholders and team members) and our craftspeople, acting as the conduit between both to ensure successful outcomes for all involved. As a result, this role will suit someone who thrives on building trust and relationships with others and fostering a collaborative working environment.

You’ll be facilitating meetings and gathering requirements from stakeholders. You’ll spend time identifying and analysing the problem space that we are working in. For our Software Modernisation projects, you’ll be working with Subject Matter Experts to develop a shared understanding of existing systems, modeling the data and business processes. You’ll help shape the roadmap of the engagement, and work in a collaborative manner with the team to help the project progress and achieve our goals.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who would like to develop and hone their analytical skills while working alongside supportive engineers and colleagues.

Requirements

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience working in Agile environments, ideally collaborating with QA professionals to refine user stories with acceptance criteria that supports Behaviour Driven Development
  • Have an understanding and awareness of how technology enables business - the ability to identify and understand how different businesses work, without the requirement for extensive domain knowledge
  • Are comfortable with technically oriented tasks, such as analysing relational databases and preparing test data
  • Are an excellent communicator and listener. You’ll be one of our key people on client projects, engaging with stakeholders and liaising with technical and non-technical peers.

It would be an added bonus (but not essential) if you:

  • Have prior experience within a consultancy environment
  • Are able to read Java code

Benefits

  • Transparency - our company finances are available to everyone from day one.
  • Autonomy - got an idea? Form an Initiative Circle, take ownership, run with it, and see it through to delivery.
  • Personal Learning Budget - Access to Learnerbly, our online learning & development tool, to support your personal development and career progression here.
  • Training - No fixed training budget. So long as the course is relevant for the company and you'll do a lightning talk on the subject, we’re happy to pay for it.
  • Life cover and private medical - A ‘Lump Sum’ payment for life cover. Private medical cover including dental.
  • 25 days' annual leave
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave

Everyone should have the right to bring their whole self to work and be celebrated for who they are. Our people are hired purely on their commitment to these values and their ambition to deliver outstanding results for our clients. Codurance is proud to be an Equal Opportunities Employer and is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.
