Impact uses technology to disrupt the way companies, councils and community groups measure and manage their social value, social impact and sustainable initiatives. Used by clients such as Network Rail, Mailchimp and Parkrun, our online platform makes it easy for the whole business, and supply chain, to record inputs and see and understand the collective outcomes the firm is generating.

Having successfully secured our first round of series A funding in 2018 and achieving stable year on year growth, we are looking for an energetic, ambitious and results orientated person who is ready to take on the challenge of joining a business experiencing high levels of growth.

Key Responsibilities 

Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing and Managing Director, you will: 

  • Progress marketing qualified leads from initial enquiry through to close
  • Prospecting to self generate leads and drive sales
  • Manage and maintain a sales pipeline capable of delivering targeted results month on month
  • Accountable to a KPI revenue target in line with business objectives
  • Speak to potential clients via inbound/outbound calls and online meetings
  • Arrange and deliver product demonstrations remotely and in-person
  • Prepare and send follow up information/proposals to potential clients 
  • Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts to the Head of Sales & Marketing and Managing Director
  • Maintain accurate up to date records of all customer details, communications and opportunities in CRM system; Pipedrive  
  • Attend networking events and conferences to increase industry knowledge and build relationships 
  • Analyse business trends to identify opportunities to increase sales and expand into new markets

Skills & Experience

Experience in a sustainability/social value department or business

  • 5+ years’ experience within a fast-paced B2B technology sales environment 
  • Target driven with a proven track record of hitting/exceeding KPIs
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to correctly profile and qualify a prospect through effective questioning
  • Ability to identify sales blockers quickly – proactively resolve and objection handle
  • Ability to work and absorb pressure, whilst maintaining a professional approach
  • Proactive, tenacious approach and able to work/act on their initiativeExcellent people and relationship building skills 
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
