The Team  
KPMG’s Cloud Transformation practice is an award-winning team of over 80 consultants that helps clients transform the way CIOs and their teams deliver technology services to their business stakeholders. Our team help the UK’s largest and most complex organisations develop cloud strategies, build the operating models, architectures and capabilities to deliver value from cloud, and operate their cloud or hybrid estates effectively and cost-efficiently.

To support our clients, we use KPMG’s deep industry insights, C-suite relationships, cloud architecture capabilities, alliances and accelerators ranging from our cloud value labs, KPMG Cloud Cost Management models, Cloud controls frameworks and landing zones.  Our 350+ strong engineering teams implement these strategies and solutions – sitting at the heart of major transformations across the UK, helping technology executives convert business strategy into compelling technology outcomes. 

With the pandemic having a profound impact on the business models and priorities of our clients we are rapidly growing our team, focusing both on advisory and the implementation of our cloud services. The work is rewarding and complex and the team diverse and engaging.

 

The Role
Our experienced consultants make up a highly talented and passionate cloud technology team that enable clients in their cloud transformation journeys. You will be at the leading edge of some of the most exciting and complex transformation work happening in the UK, helping clients from high-street banks to household brands. At KPMG, we expect our consultants to be able to understand both the clients’ ambitions and their pain points, providing them with compelling solutions from our wide portfolio of Cloud offerings across markets.

 

The responsibilities of a KPMG cloud consultant include:

 

  • Create high quality, client facing assets targeting Cloud solutions
  • Lead, organize and monitor programme delivery, outcomes, and resources in large transformation programmes
  • Effectively communicating with clients to understand the clients’ strategic needs, business objectives, and then formulate these into aligned proposals and statements of work
  • Building relationships and becoming a trusted advisor to the senior stakeholders at our clients, helping them to focus their efforts in the Cloud and general technology space.
  • Managing teams and programmes to establish trust, close working relationships and become an advisor to C-level stakeholders
  • Actively contributing to building a strong Cloud team and embracing diversity, by engaging with colleagues and internal initiatives


Experience

  • Significant experience in consulting and presenting complex solutions to business executives
  • Track record of delivering success in in advisory of complex large-scale architectural solutions on cloud
  • Experience of managing technical reviews and assessments of cloud strategy, roadmaps, cloud data models, cloud integration, and cloud migration tools
  • Evidence of a growth mindset for business development, with an ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Ability to collaboratively work and manage well in a new style of hybrid team
