Stockport-based brand performance partner Dawn has launched Outshine, a structured system designed to identify and fix the underlying gaps that restrict how B2B businesses grow, sell and scale.

Rather than treating growth as a marketing output, the system looks at the business as a whole; from brand and digital presence through to sales infrastructure, CRM systems, automation and internal commercial alignment.

Dawn founder David O’Hearns said:

“Most businesses are trying to fix growth problems in the wrong place. They tweak campaigns, adjust messaging or increase spend, but the real issues are often earlier in the system.

It can be how leads are handled in the CRM, how sales tools are set up, how clearly the business is positioned, or whether the brand actually reflects what they deliver. When those things aren’t aligned, performance breaks down and confusion sets in.”

Outshine begins with a paid Gap Analysis, a structured diagnostic that benchmarks how a business is performing across the full growth system, including positioning, visibility, brand identity, digital presence, sales enablement, CRM structure and conversion pathways.

The aim is not to produce a surface-level audit, but to expose the specific constraints limiting performance and prioritise what needs to be fixed first.

From there, businesses move into a structured improvement cycle: identify the biggest constraints, prioritise impact, implement targeted changes across the system, measure results, and iterate.

Dawn says this replaces fragmented activity across marketing, sales and operations with a single performance model.

“Most growth problems don’t sit neatly in one department,” O’Hearns said.
“They show up across the whole system. If your positioning is unclear, sales conversations start from a weak place. If your CRM is messy, good leads get lost. If your brand doesn’t reflect your capability, you get undervalued before the conversation even starts.”

Outshine is delivered across three connected areas: brand, digital and motion. Rather than treating these as separate disciplines, Dawn uses them as integrated levers that influence how a business is understood, how it operates commercially, and how effectively it converts demand into revenue.

The launch reflects a wider shift in B2B buying behaviour, where decisions are increasingly formed before direct contact with a business takes place.

“That raises the bar,” O’Hearns added.

“Buyers aren’t just reacting to marketing. They’re assessing the whole system. How credible you look, how clear your offer is, how easy it is to engage with you. If there’s friction anywhere in that chain, you lose momentum before the sales conversation even starts.”

Outshine will now sit at the centre of all client work at Dawn, forming a continuous model for identifying and resolving the constraints that limit business performance.
