Gentry’s career began in 2015, when he and his wife, Gabrielle, opened a comfort shoe store in Covington. The business quickly grew into Gentry’s Footwear, expanding to Kent Station and Tacoma’s Point Ruston.
From the beginning, Gentry treated his stores as more than retail locations. By partnering with podiatrists and chiropractors, he ensured that customers with chronic foot or back pain could access supportive footwear. This focus on practical solutions and client well-being became a hallmark of his approach to business.
Even during the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gentry prioritized his team and customers. He adjusted operations to meet new safety requirements, managed supply chain delays, and kept the business focused on helping people rather than just making sales.
Family and Career Transition
After several years in retail, Gentry relocated with his family to Yakima, Washington. The move allowed him to raise his children in a community-oriented environment while pursuing a long-term career in financial advising.
He earned his Series 7, Series 66, and insurance licenses and joined his father, a financial advisor with more than 35 years of experience. Today, Gentry works with families across the region, providing financial guidance that is clear, reliable, and focused on helping clients make informed decisions.
