Scaling from Manchester: new Tech on Tap GTM meetup series

SafetyCulture and Manchester Digital are partnering to launch Tech On Tap, a new quarterly meetup series bringing together salespeople, marketers, and customer-facing professionals. Tech On Tap will help GTM teams across the North West upskill, network, and level up together.

The tech scene in Manchester and the North West has never been more vibrant, with exciting new start-ups, international tech companies putting down roots, and funding rounds being announced daily.

Successfully commercialising this technology is vital for the health of the region’s tech scene. From driving new customer acquisition to expanding existing ones, customer-facing go-to-market roles are the engine for scaling world-class businesses. The development of these functions also forms a crucial pathway for people without technical skills to enter digital industries.

So, SafetyCulture is delighted to be partnering with Manchester Digital to launch Tech On Tap to level up the entire go-to-market function together.

Why include all of GTM and not just sales, success, or marketing? Because aligned go-to-market functions create happier customers, better experiences, and tight-knit teams. According to Forrester, businesses with strong sales and marketing alignment experience 19% faster growth and a 15% increase in profitability.

We're all too aware of the negative stereotypes that can surround these roles, but we're determined that Tech On Tap will be a meeting point for ambitious GTM professionals who are doing good business, for them and the customer.

The first meetup will focus on ‘GTM Harmony: Cross-Functional Collaboration That Actually Works’.

We’ll be joined by speakers with experience at SAP, Salesforce, SafetyCulture and more to discover how GTM teams can deliver incredible customer experiences at scale.

Ambitious GTM professionals are invited to join us in our swish office (if I do say so myself!) for an evening of panels, networking, and canapes provided by our in-house chef, who brings experience from local Manchester favourites Hispi and Edinburgh Castle.

Tickets are free but limited, secure yours today by signing up here. Invite your friends and colleagues, the more the merrier!

We can’t wait to welcome you, and kick off an incredible series of meet-ups that build the future of the North West tech scene, together.

SafetyCulture is a workplace operations platform which gives workers a voice, leaders visibility and unites teams to improve. In short, we're here to help working teams get better everyday!Back in 2004, we were a small team working out of a garage in regional Australia. Our first business solution? Humble safety documents. But as technology reshaped how the world interacted, founder Luke Anear was quick to pivot and meet customers where they were. And so, iAuditor (now known as SafetyCulture) was born, the first iteration of a digital platform that revolutionized safety inspections globally. It soon became the world’s largest checklist app — and that’s just the beginning. As millions of inspections flowed into our platform one thing emerged: safety and quality share a relationship. Small but rapid changes in individual acts, repeated consistently are transformative. For safety, for quality, for efficiency. We started as an audit and risk tool, but today our customers rely on us for more than ticking a box. As the world of work evolves, so do we.Today, iAuditor is known as the SafetyCulture. Human observations and data sources feed it. And so, better teams, better organizations are built. Our technology includes issue reports, data capture, analytics, IoT, risk mitigation and award-winning mobile training. We’re constantly building new technology to enable positive micro behavior that propels macro business growth. We power 600 million checks per year, approximately 70,000 lessons per day and millions of corrective actions. Our flagship products are used by over 65,000 organizations — ranging from Coles to NASA and the United Nations.Across industries, SafetyCulture supports businesses to identify issues and opportunities to improve everyday.Video: What It's like Working At SafetyCulture
