HM Land Registry's existing software systems and services form part of the critical national infrastructure, safeguarding land and property ownership valued at £7 trillion. This enables over £1 trillion worth of personal and commercial lending to be secured against property across England and Wales.

Job description
The role supports data management including data governance and provides leadership on HMLRs Data Architecture. A senior data architect will lead the delivery of the organisations vision for data through data design, collaborating with technical and non-technical colleagues to ensure data is managed properly and meets the organisation’s needs.
The post holder will keep up to date with data policy and standards affecting data management and will be aware of, and take account of, cross-government data architecture initiatives. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of data designs, models and artefacts that describe HMLR data architecture, will understand the relevant strategies that influence these and will contribute to wider activities that define future roadmaps.

Person specification
To be successful in this role you will have experience of mentoring data professionals, helping to build capability and supporting development of individuals and teams. You will have experience of undertaking data impact assessments and assuring compliance to data policies and standards.
You will also be comfortable with change and have the ability to multi-task and prioritise projects, being able to respond quickly to changing circumstances.
