Grad Recharge Programme

Are you a recent Computer Science, Business Information Technology or related digital graduate who is looking for support to begin your career in the technology sector?
Grad Recharge is a fully funded employability programme delivered by Manchester Digital. It is designed to help graduates strengthen their confidence, develop practical employability skills and make meaningful connections with technology employers across Greater Manchester.
The programme will include:
- Practical masterclasses delivered by technology professionals
- Employer insight sessions and workplace visits
- CV, application and interview support
- Opportunities to complete employer-led projects, challenges and hackathons
- One-to-one coaching and wellbeing support
- Guidance on navigating the technology job market
- Opportunities to build your professional network and meet potential employers
Who is the programme for?
We are particularly interested in hearing from recent graduates who:
- Have completed a degree in Computer Science, Business Information Technology or a related subject
- Live within the Manchester City Council area
- Are currently unemployed and looking to begin their career
- Would benefit from additional confidence, wellbeing or employability support
- May face barriers such as a disability, long-term health condition, mental health or wellbeing challenges, or caring responsibilities
- Have the right to work in the UK and meet the programme’s funding eligibility requirements
You do not need to have professional experience. We are looking for people who are interested in developing a career in technology and are willing to engage fully with the programme.
Programme details
The graduate cohort will run from January to March 2027. Activities will take place through a mixture of online and in-person sessions, primarily in Manchester. Some employer sessions may take place during normal working hours.
Places are limited, and submitting an application does not guarantee a place. Eligible applicants will be invited to an informal conversation so that we can learn more about their goals and the support they would benefit from.
There is no cost to participate in Grad Recharge.
