About us

Unbranded was founded by developers and still maintains a developer-centric focus. We value developers and their role in producing market leading work.

We like to produce high-quality work and value our well thought out development process. It’s taken us quite a while to put together but we think we’re almost there. It’s already made us a lot more efficient and organised. With each project we carry out, we review what could have been better and add it to the process; we don’t like making the same mistake twice.

We’ve trained our non-dev team to take on the unchallenging stuff whilst leaving us to do the parts we’re trained to do. Developers should be coding, not chopping images and typing content into Wordpress.

The workplace. It’s in Media City, it’s laid back and can be a bit of a laugh. We’re a small, friendly team who enjoy no dramas, a relaxed atmosphere and honest results.

COVID-19

We’re all working remotely from the comfort of our own homes for at least the next 6 months, so we’ll need someone who can work independently with discipline and initiative. You won’t be micromanaged so you’ll need to make sure you can meet the deadlines set or communicate whenever there is a problem.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for a junior to mid-level developer who has around 3 years industry experience. You’ll be working with 2 senior developers who will be happy to support you. You’ll be primarily working on the CSS of our sites and ensuring they meet our high design standards.

Yes, you can use google to remind yourself of CSS3 transition syntax, like we all do. So long as you’re willing to learn and problem solve you are right for us.

Key requirements

  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SASS, LESS and JavaScript & jQuery
  • Responsive / mobile-first development experience
  • Front-end build tools such as Grunt / Gulp / Compass
  • Git source control
  • PHP and other open source technologies
  • It’s important for you to have the ability to work proactively in a team environment and have a genuine passion for web development, design and the digital industry
  • Wordpress experience
  • A keen design eye and attention to detail
  • Excellent time keeping skills

How to apply

We’re looking for someone who can work full time but please feel free to apply if you can only manage to work part-time.

To apply please send your CV including some recent work you’ve undertaken. (It would be great to see some of your code). https://uk.indeed.com/job/junior-mid-level-developer-wordpress-7971e7d28e13b267
