Digital agency, Fast Web Media, were crowned winners at the UK Search Awards 2018 for their work with eCigarette brand, blu.
Ten agencies across the country were shortlisted in the Most Innovative Campaign category, with Fast Web Media taking the award home thanks to their forward-thinking voice search campaign.
‘Giving blu a voice’ was focused on positioning the brand as the most common voice search result for eCig based queries on the likes of Google Assistant and Alexa, capitalising on the growing use of voice-activated devices.
On winning the award, FWM Head of Agency, Rob Weatherhead said: “The team at Fast Web Media is delighted. We worked hard with blu to not just get them ahead of their competitors but keep them there with a strategy that looked to the future.
“Voice search is still growing, but as the technology develops and becomes a part of everyday life, it’ll be adopted by millions, so it’s important for brands to make sure they’re ahead of the curve.
“Our win underlines how prepared we are for this evolution in the way people use the internet, and we’re excited to do more work in this area in the future.”
