New Partnership with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and Cyber Resilience Centre

The Cyber Resilience Centre for Greater Manchester Launches Partnership with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce

Businesses have an appetite to increase their cyber awareness and grow their resilience to the latest online crimes. Today, the Cyber Resilience Centre for Greater Manchester (CRCGM), announces its strategic partnership with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (GMCC), the largest accredited Chamber of Commerce in the UK.

This new partnership, allows GMCC members to take advantage of the CRCGM free Core Membership, as well as the option to take advantage of tailored paid memberships and cost-effective cyber services.

Commenting on the new partnership, Director of Cyber Resilience Centre for Greater Manchester, Neil Jones said “The Cyber Resilience Centre is delighted to be working with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce to help protect our business community from online crime by providing trusted, government-backed guidance and support.

The cybercrime threat to start-ups, micros, family businesses and SMEs has never been greater, with cybercriminals taking advantage of the pandemic to carry out damaging attacks on businesses of all sizes as they increasingly work online.

Working together, the Cyber Resilience Centre and the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce combine a wealth of skills and experience to provide easily accessible, practical, trusted support to help where it’s most needed.“

Commenting on the new partnership, Chris Fletcher, Policy, Campaigns and Communications Director said “This partnership is another way that we can make sure businesses remain safe in an ever increasingly challenging world of cyberattacks. The CRCGM have a range of support and services for all size businesses and its vital that everyone does as much as they can to prevent an attack happening rather than try and pick up the pieces afterwards.”

“As we move out of the worst parts of the pandemic and hopefully into a period of growth this partnership is a great way of adding in that extra element of safety and security and is one less thing for businesses to worry about.”
