Only a couple of weeks ago, my family left the North East and relocated to Manchester. Not only does this move knock 2.5 hours off my husband's commute, it allows me the opportunity to discover a new and exciting digital and tech community to get involved in, and contribute to.
Having run my experience design consultancy for well over a decade, I've built up a great network of like-minded people up in the North East, so starting again comes with an air of trepidation but also a renewed sense of excitement for what the future holds for Helena Hill Consulting.
It was clear that becoming a member of Manchester Digital was a no-brainer. Their goals of providing a cohesive, joined-up community across Greater Manchester, as well as working to bridge the digital skills gap, align with my vision for the success of the sector and the future of our industry.
I'm very much looking forward to meeting some of my fellow members at events in Manchester soon.
