There are brilliant women working across every corner of commerce. We want to create more spaces where they can meet each other, learn from each other and give one another the confidence, connections and opportunities to go further.

MageCamp Manchester is the first room.

No matter what your job title says. No matter how long you've been doing it. If you're a woman working in or around eCommerce, you belong here.

What happens in the room?

• The Theme:

Behind every career are people who’ve made a difference. The mentor who saw something in you before you saw it yourself. The colleague who shared what they knew. The person who made an introduction, opened a door or backed you when it mattered.

That idea will run through the afternoon. Through the questions we ask, the experiences shared from the mic and the conversations around the tables, we’ll explore who helps us grow, and how we can do the same for other women.

• The Agenda:

1. The Panel - Your questions. Their experiences.

We'll bring together women from across commerce for an honest 45-minute conversation shaped by the questions you want answered.

Questions can be submitted anonymously before the event, so the conversation isn't limited to whoever feels comfortable putting their hand up.

It’s a chance to hear different perspectives on careers, leadership, confidence, mistakes, opportunities, difficult decisions and everything that happens in between.

2. Lightning Talks - Five minutes. Your floor.

Have something worth sharing? This is your invitation.

We're opening the floor to women attending the event for a series of short, 5–8 minute talks.

You don't need to be an experienced speaker. In fact, we'd particularly love to hear from you if you're not.

Maybe you've always wanted to try public speaking but a huge conference stage feels like several steps too far. Maybe there's an idea you've been sitting on. Maybe you've learned something other women could benefit from.

This is a room that's on your side. You don't need permission to take the mic.

*Complimentary, 30 minute 1:1 sessions to be offered to all speakers from mentors within the Hello Moxie community ahead of the talk for prep assistance.

3. Roundtables - The next generation of networking.

Hosted small groups of  6-8 women to a table with one topic worth talking about.

Spend 45 minutes sharing experiences, asking questions, disagreeing, learning and figuring things out together.

We'll set the topics, but the women around the table decide where the conversation goes.

This is bigger than one afternoon.

Women in Ecommerce starts in Manchester, but we don't want it to end there.

We want to build a network that creates more opportunities for women to meet, speak, mentor, learn, ask for help and give it.

More rooms. More cities. More countries.

Mentoring. Support. Introductions. Opportunities.

And a network of women actively invested in seeing other women succeed.

We're starting with one room on 13 October.
