Operational Improvement – Senior / Principal Consultant

The Role:

We are seeking professionals with various levels of experience to join the Operational Improvement team.

We want you to help us grow our business by:

  • Delivering consulting and advisory services to achieve excellent results for our clients; primarily focused on operational improvement.
  • Building mutually beneficial relationships with our clients, understand their needs and translating them into consulting opportunities.
  • Contributing with economic, commercial, and strategic insight.
  • Contributing to the development of thought leadership, consulting propositions for our clients and promotional marketing materials.
  • Working with bid teams to shape tender responses and produce high quality bid content.
  • Continually developing own knowledge and understanding of consulting skills and client markets and supporting the development of others.

About you:

Successful candidates will be working with our clients from day one. We are looking for people who can demonstrate capabilities and experience across the following areas:

Operational Improvement Skills -

  • Analysing how organisations operate and what their customers need.
  • Be able to define the vision and purpose of an organisation or programme, using a variety of tools and processes.
  • Understand how to measure, quantify, and analyse performance.
  • Be comfortable handling quantitative data.
  • Technical experience in process mapping and process design.
  • Experience of using modelling, trialling or piloting to prototype solutions and test ideas, aiding analysis and enabling evidence-based decision making.
  • Be comfortable providing quantitative and qualitative summaries of your work and adapting your presentation style to stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.

Other Experience -

  • You are comfortable delivering in Waterfall and (scaled) agile methods.
  • You are a supportive team player and can communicate and collaborate effectively with a wide range of people.
  • You can demonstrate an ability to transfer skills and knowledge to colleagues and clients.
  • You build good and lasting relationships with clients at all levels in a business environment.
  • You have strong technical ability to deliver presentations and facilitate workshops.
  • Ideally, you will have experience in one or more of our key markets (Defence, Aerospace, Security, Energy, Utilities, Highways, Rail and the Public Sector).
  • Ideally, you have experience of contributing to the sale of management consulting work – including bid development and presentations.
