Location
Any Acas Office With an element of working from home. Please be aware that this role can only be worked in Great Britain and not overseas. You will be asked to express a location preference during the application process. Informal hybrid arrangements are available and the balance between home and workplace working is to be agreed with the line manager to achieve the right balance between collaboration, in-person engagement and flexibility. There will be travel to other Acas offices

Job summary
- Lead a team of user researchers to deliver high quality research that supports Acas’s strategic objectives
- Advocate for the user, by presenting compelling evidence from user research within Acas to senior management and relevant external audiences; and making sure the insight the team produce is widely shared and used in decision making
- Ensure user research processes are robust, through developing and maintaining high standards for user privacy and research ethics
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation to develop capability within the user research team and wider community
Job description
- Coordinate research across multiple projects and ensure user researchers follow best practice and meet professional standards
- Build and develop capability and excellence of user researchers across the user research team and community
- Encourage others to adopt user research practices and use customer feedback and insights to make evidence-based decisions about Acas products and services.
- Develop user research guidance for all aspects of user research processes, including GDPR, ethics and consent
- Ensure user researchers share insights and build a single user-centred picture of our different user groups
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to user research
- Implement and champion improvements to the user research process based on feedback and evolving methodologies
- Promote good practice methods and techniques for all Acas digital products and services

- Planning and coordinating user research across multiple projects - Lead
- Designing and creating surveys, card sorts, tree jacks and other types of data collection activities to identify, sort & theme user feedback.
Experience:
Essential criteria:
- Experience of building and developing capability and excellence across a user research team and community; line management experience -Lead
- Experience leading a team of user researchers on multiple agile and digital projects
- Experience of working with product managers and service owners to ensure that product goals are met
- Knowledge and experience of using a wide range of user research methods, tools, and techniques.
- Experience managing user research consent, GDPR and setting standards for research ethics and privacy
