The Business Relationship Manager role supports the delivery of digital and technology services by managing budgets, contracts and stakeholder relationships across government.

The role suits someone who enjoys working with people, data and budgets, and who can turn complex information into clear insight that supports better decision‑making and service performance.

What the role involves

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and tracking IT budgets, forecasts and financial performance
• Working with project leads to align spend with delivery plans
• Monitoring supplier performance and contract commitments
• Analysing data to identify risks, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
• Building effective working relationships across digital teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders
• Representing the organisation at internal and external partner meetings

This opportunity may be a good fit for candidates who:

• Communicate confidently between technical and non‑technical audiences
• Have experience working with financial data, Excel or budgets
• Understand or have exposure to contracts, suppliers or service delivery
• Enjoy improving processes and supporting better outcomes
• Can explain complex information clearly and concisely

A traditional IT background is not essential. Transferable experience from finance, operations, performance, project support or supplier management is highly relevant.
