New course launch: Business Analysis in Government – Getting Started

The Government Digital Service (GDS) is pleased to launch the latest course in our Getting Started learning series: Business Analysis in Government.

Designed by cross‑government professionals, this introductory course offers an insight into how Business Analysts work within Government Digital and Data (GDD) teams, and how they support the design and delivery of effective public services. Our community‑led learning draws directly on real‑world experience, sharing practical perspectives from across government.

Who is this course for?

This course is open to everyone and is particularly useful for:

  • People already working in Government Digital and Data
  • Those who want to understand the GDD profession and how service teams operate
  • Anyone considering a career move into Business Analysis or digital public services

No prior experience of Business Analysis is required — it’s designed as an accessible starting point.
