As a Lead Enterprise Architect, you’ll help set the strategic direction for DVSA’s business and digital capabilities, influencing how services, technology, processes and operating models evolve together.

This is a senior, visible role within DVSA’s Architecture Management Office, working alongside Lead Enterprise, Technical and Solution Architects.

What you’ll be doing

In this leadership role, you’ll:

Define and guide enterprise‑level architecture across business and digital capabilities
Design and communicate high‑level structures that shape future services, processes, organisations and operating models
Support new digital transformation initiatives, including business case development
Help teams turn strategy into clear, actionable architectural roadmaps
Assess societal, policy and industry trends, and ensure DVSA’s architecture is ready for what’s next
Work beyond organisational boundaries to inform policies, strategies and standards
Anticipate policy change and build architectural resilience into the organisation
Coach and support others to recognise and respond to emerging trends

What you’ll bring

You may be a strong fit if you have experience:

Leading and embedding enterprise‑wide architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman)
Shaping and delivering large‑scale transformation initiatives, including cloud‑based environments
Developing strategic visions and roadmaps that simplify complex scenarios
Operating architecture governance and assurance processes
Working confidently with senior leaders and decision‑makers
Communicating complex concepts clearly and persuasively
