As a Lead Enterprise Architect, you’ll help set the strategic direction for DVSA’s business and digital capabilities, influencing how services, technology, processes and operating models evolve together.
This is a senior, visible role within DVSA’s Architecture Management Office, working alongside Lead Enterprise, Technical and Solution Architects.
What you’ll be doing
In this leadership role, you’ll:
- Define and guide enterprise‑level architecture across business and digital capabilities
- Design and communicate high‑level structures that shape future services, processes, organisations and operating models
- Support new digital transformation initiatives, including business case development
- Help teams turn strategy into clear, actionable architectural roadmaps
- Assess societal, policy and industry trends, and ensure DVSA’s architecture is ready for what’s next
- Work beyond organisational boundaries to inform policies, strategies and standards
- Anticipate policy change and build architectural resilience into the organisation
- Coach and support others to recognise and respond to emerging trends
What you’ll bring
You may be a strong fit if you have experience:
- Leading and embedding enterprise‑wide architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman)
- Shaping and delivering large‑scale transformation initiatives, including cloud‑based environments
- Developing strategic visions and roadmaps that simplify complex scenarios
- Operating architecture governance and assurance processes
- Working confidently with senior leaders and decision‑makers
- Communicating complex concepts clearly and persuasively
