Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government works on things that make a real difference to people’s lives, from housing to local communities. This role sits within the Elections Digital team, helping deliver and improve the services that millions of people rely on to participate in UK elections.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead the development of high-profile digital products such as registering to vote, applying for postal or proxy votes, and voter ID services.
Working with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll shape the product vision, prioritise work based on user needs and data, and continuously improve services through agile delivery. You’ll also engage with users and stakeholders to drive adoption and ensure services meet real-world needs.
What we’re looking for
• Strong experience managing digital products using agile methods (roadmaps, user stories, prioritisation)
• Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams (engineering, user research, service design, analytics)
• Confidence using data and insight to guide decisions and measure performance
• Strong communication skills, able to tailor messages for different audiences
• Ability to manage complexity, challenge constraints and adapt approaches when needed
