CODE PROVES ITS 'HED' AND SHOULDERS ABOVE COMPETITION

Manchester digital marketing agency Code Computerlove has won an eight-way pitch to be appointed by the MSHK Group (formerly the Ministry Of Sound group) to redesign its Hed Kandi brand website ahead of the Ibiza season starting in June. The new brand engagement and e-commerce site will communicate the Hed Kandi brand's Access the Fabulous strapline and will offer a state of the art online shopping experience. Chris Wallwork, eCommerce/Web Manager for the MSHK Group, said: "Hed Kandi is a very important brand to the MSHK group. With ongoing new releases of great music, the thousands of events that are held worldwide and the imminent launch of new products further enhancing Hed Kandi's brand, we needed an agency that could design a website that translates into both ecommerce and marketing success. Code ComputerLove were able to find that tricky balance between ecommerce and marketing, which is essential to a brands success."He added: "Like many companies, we have a direct to consumer strategy that plans to give MSHK greater market share of our own products. A more prominent web presence is integral to this. Code ComputerLove understood the brief from the outset and were light years ahead of the other agencies we approached to pitch. Their enthusiasm for the brand and research they performed was evident in their initial work. We look forward to working with them to nail the final look and feel, which we believe they will turn around very quickly in time for the busy Ibiza season." Executive creative director at Code Computerlove, Wes Hogg who led the pitch said: "The Hed Kandi brand has long been on Code's list of 'Brands We Want To Work With' and this win is testament to our design team's fantastic capabilities and unrivalled creativity. "Our ideas will bring Hed Kandi's iconic and very distinctive brand identity to life online, and our experience of working with HMV for the past five years means we have the capability to deliver the very best online music shopping experience."
