Manchester Digital’s Talent Day brings together leading tech employers with the next generation of talent

Manchester Digital’s flagship Talent Day event returns for 2026 next Wednesday bringing together the most ambitious tech and digital talent with the region’s leading tech employers.

As the North’s largest and longest-running specialist tech careers event, Talent Day welcomes more than 2,000 job seekers every year to explore the opportunities offered by Greater Manchester’s £5 billion digital and tech economy.

Located at the iconic New Century Hall, this lively one day event is part of the week-long Digital Skills Festival. It’s open to graduates, career changers, bootcampers and anyone looking to explore a career in the tech sector to explore the latest job openings and take part in sessions designed to help grow skills and confidence.

Taking place on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, Talent Day will showcase tech and digital employers offering roles across software development, UX design, data analytics, marketing, cyber security and more.

Tech employers confirmed include: AJ Bell, UK BioBank, Government Digital Services, the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology, Together Money, Hedgehog Labs and many more.

Katie Gallagher, managing director at Manchester Digital, said: “Talent Day is where the future of the North West’s tech sector comes to life. This flagship event is now in its second decade and showcases the North West’s fast-growing tech sector with a range of different career opportunities.

“This event is a fantastic opportunity for job seekers to connect face-to-face with employers who are genuinely passionate about building local talent.”

Simon Riley, Senior Digital Sales Leader at Hewlett Packard Enterprises, added, "Hewlett Packard Enterprise are proud to sponsor Talent Day because early careers talent is central to HPE’s future. Our office in Manchester shows what can happen when we invest in people from the start.

“It’s become a true centre of excellence powered by fresh ideas, ambition and a hunger to make an impact. Talent Day reinforces that commitment by giving our emerging professionals visibility, opportunity, and the support to build meaningful careers. For me, it’s about shaping the next generation of HPE leaders and making sure we continue to create an inclusive, innovative environment where top talent can thrive."

The event forms part of the week-long Manchester Digital Skills Festival (February 2-6, 2026), which includes an exciting agenda, including the first AI Futures Day and Digital Her Day, aimed at bridging the region’s digital skills gap.

Talent Day is free to attend, but registration is required. Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their CVs, update their LinkedIn profiles, and come ready to make connections that could shape the next step in their careers.
