This month we'll have a showcase of app and mobile projects including:

• "Modernising the credit union" with Dave Bishop - business transformation programme lead at retailcure, the credit union for retail . The programme Supporting the Department for Work and Pensions sponsored Credit Union Expansion Project. The project is worth £38m over three years is to modernise the credit union movement allowing them to benefit from shared access to an online banking platform as well as a range of support services designed to help them look after their members more easily and effectively, including innovative, competitive products, new channels to market, compliance, marketing, HR and financial management

• "Encourage children on the autistic spectrum to attend and have fun at a live arts event." with Rachel Oliver

“Show and Tell” is an award-winning mobile iOS app (soon to be released on Android) that uses an interactive visual story designed to encourage children on the autistic spectrum to attend and have fun at a live arts event. Fear of the unknown often prevents these children and their families from trying new activities or visiting new places. Circus Starr created Show and Tell so children can make their own circus story from a bank of related real life images and footage so they can familiarise themselves with the “thrills and spills” of the Big Top before even leaving the house. After their visit, they can further personalise their story by uploading their own images, captions and footage captured at the show. Over the last few months Circus Starr has also participated in the UK’s first arts accelerator exploring the potential of Show and Tell to open up new worlds for families with autism.

We'll also have space for brief "lightning" talks on the night, where anyone will have a chance to speak for up to 3 minutes on something that helps more people do good with tech.
