Chobble has launched Chobble Tickets, a simple ticketing platform built for real events and real organisers. It’s open source (Github.com), runs on Bunny CDN's "Edge Scripting" with libsql (Turso), encrypts attendee data at rest, and supports both free and paid events through Stripe or Square.
The idea is straightforward: organisers shouldn’t lose a slice of every ticket just for using a booking system. Chobble Tickets is available as a hosted service for £50 per year with no tiers, and it’s also available to self‑host under the AGPLv3 license.
“Most ticketing platforms take a cut of your sale even though they're barely involved,” said Chobble founder Stef. “I wanted to build something I can charge a fair price for hosting while still massively undercutting the monopoly providers.”
The platform covers everyday needs without the bloat: creating events, managing capacity, sending tickets with QR codes, checking people in at the door, handling refunds, exporting attendee lists, and combining multiple events in one checkout. It’s built to be quick to set up and easy to run, whether you’re a small community group or a busy venue.
Under the hood, Chobble Tickets uses strong encryption to protect attendee data. Only authenticated admins can decrypt it, and if you lose your password, the data is unreadable by design. For technical teams, the full codebase is available to inspect and modify.
Hosted instances are £50 per year, with a 50% discount for community groups, charities, artists, and musicians. Or self‑host for free.
