This role forms part of the Building Design and Construction Digital team, which will deliver cross-cutting projects across professions, products and building performance. These areas are facing similar challenges and require joined-up solutions to implement the recommendations of the Grenfell Inquiry and to make sure the sector is positioned ready for a digital future.
As the team’s Delivery Manager you will work in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating closely with policy, analytical and digital colleagues to develop and oversee processes to ensure workstreams are delivered successfully.

Job description
As a Delivery Manager you'll:
- Develop and oversee the processes necessary to deliver our objectives, challenging unnecessary complexity and refining based on feedback and shared learning.
- Plan our pipeline, understanding and prioritising the most important projects while helping teams to measure, evaluate and visualise outcomes.
- Lead on commercial contract management, acting as the point of contact for suppliers, providing constructive challenge to deliver excellent value for money.
- Lead the team’s thinking on risk, identifying internal and external dependencies and tackling blockers.
- Support the team in providing delivery confidence to senior leaders and ministers, interpreting between technical and non-technical stakeholders
Person specification
As a Delivery Manager you’ll have:
- Experience planning and developing effective process to support delivery.
- Experience of anticipating, and overcoming, risks and barriers to successful delivery.
- Experience of proactively managing suppliers and supplier contracts to ensure maximum value for money.
- Experience of engaging and assuring senior leaders by making complex technical problems accessible.
- A good understanding of Agile or other tools to support delivery.
Desirable:
- Experience of, or an interest in, user centred design practices.
