Heuristic evaluation: The uses, benefits and drawbacks

Conducting a heuristic evaluation can help you to uncover usability issues relatively quickly for any new/existing website and designs, but there are some considerations like bias if you’re conducting the evaluation in-house. We recommend using the Nielsen usability heuristics / framework to conduct any heuristic reviews as these are tried and tested, and if you haven’t conducted any of these evaluations before, then start adding them to your design / change process.
