Greater Manchester-based Hendrix Rose PR has been appointed to lead the communications campaign for internationally acclaimed artist Dian Kostov's landmark exhibition, Crossroad – The Price of Choice: Peace is Not Given, ahead of its launch at Manchester Cathedral this summer.
The boutique PR agency has been tasked with delivering a strategic media relations campaign to raise awareness of the exhibition across regional, national and specialist arts media, securing press coverage and coordinating journalist preview opportunities in the lead-up to its opening on 3 July.
Running until 10 September 2026, the immersive exhibition will transform Manchester Cathedral through a series of large-scale installations, documentary photography and contemporary icon-inspired artworks exploring themes of peace, conflict, resilience and human choice.
The appointment further strengthens Hendrix Rose PR's growing portfolio of arts, culture and destination clients, with the agency increasingly recognised for delivering creative communications campaigns that connect organisations with audiences through meaningful storytelling.
Gemma Stevens, Founder and Managing Director of Hendrix Rose PR, said: "We're incredibly proud to have been appointed to support the launch of this extraordinary exhibition. From the moment we learned about the project, we recognised the power of its story and the important conversations it encourages around peace, resilience and humanity.
"Our role is to ensure those stories reach the right audiences. We've already been working closely with Dian and the wider team to secure media coverage, arrange journalist previews and build momentum ahead of the opening. We can't wait to see visitors experience the exhibition for themselves this summer."
Internationally acclaimed Bulgarian artist Dian Kostov is renowned for pushing the boundaries of contemporary iconography and installation art, with work exhibited across Europe, including Florence, Vienna and Brussels.
His Manchester exhibition brings together 72 documentary photographs taken in Ukraine alongside 80 original artworks, encouraging visitors to reflect on the choices that shape both individual lives and wider society.
Among its centrepieces are the Peace Globe, illuminated by 59 candles representing active armed conflicts around the world, a cross constructed from charred beams recovered from a church destroyed near Kyiv and hundreds of suspended white birds gathered beneath a striking Crown of Thorns installation.
Developed in collaboration with psychotherapist Milena Tashkova, the exhibition also explores the relationship between personal and collective conflict, inviting audiences to consider how peace begins through individual choice and responsibility.
Dian Kostov said: "We wanted to work with a communications partner who understood not only how to secure media attention but also how to communicate the deeper meaning behind the exhibition. Hendrix Rose PR immediately understood our vision and has already played an important role in helping introduce the project to journalists and audiences ahead of the launch. We're excited to continue working together as the exhibition opens."
Since its appointment, Hendrix Rose PR has been delivering an integrated communications campaign, including media relations, feature pitching, journalist preview events and strategic storytelling designed to position the exhibition as one of Manchester's must-see cultural events this summer.
The campaign also supports a second connected exhibition, A Mother's Warmth, opening simultaneously at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, creating a cultural dialogue between the two cities through shared themes of compassion, hope and humanity.
Gemma added: "This is exactly the type of project we love working on. One that combines creativity with purpose. Arts and culture have an incredible ability to bring people together and spark important conversations, and we're delighted to be playing a part in sharing this story."
