Manchester Tech Week: Jargon joins DTX & UCX Manchester for third year

Jargon PR has been appointed an official partner for Manchester Tech Week’s anchor event DTX & UCX Manchester for a third successive year.

The international PR group will support event organisers Imago Techmedia with media relations support on the biggest tech stage in the north as Digital Transformation EXPO (DTX) and Unified Communications EXPO (UCX) merge for a single event on May 17-18.

World Cup winner Matt Dawson is headlining the show alongside Dame Stella Rimington - the first woman to become Director General of the Security Service MI5 - and Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham, who will be outlining the region’s Digital Blueprint for 2023-26.

Among those in attendance will be representatives from Greater Manchester Combined Authority, AJ Bell, On the Beach, National Grid, Manchester Digital, Manchester Airport Group, Sykes Cottages, Co-Op and Jaguar Land Rover, with exhibitions from ThreatLocker, AWS, Intel, Dell, Sophos, and many more.

Other big hitters on the lineup include John Hobson, Chief Information Officer at Kellogg Company; Ben Morris, Global Director of Cyber Security at The Hut Group; Mivy James, Digital Transformation Director at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence; Adam Lindsay, Director of Business Operations at Groupon; Leanne Fitzpatrick, Director of Data Science at The Financial Times; Rob Black, Technology Director at Beauty Bay; and Risk Alkunshalie, Head of Technology at Manchester Airports Group.

Jargon PR will work with organisers to utilise a variety of PR tactics to build excitement in the run up to the show using news, features and thought leadership to drive coverage. Jargon PR will also be present on-site, managing the press office and coordinating interviews with leading industry figures.

The combined showcase DTX & UCX Manchester 2023 will connect leaders in cloud, networks, data, devops, cybersecurity and modern workplace to tackle challenges together.

Jargon PR’s Associate Director Sue Souter commented: “We love working with Imago to make Manchester Tech Week a success - and it’s great to be back supporting them this year.

“We’ll be on site at DTX & UCX Manchester on May 17-18 to handle all media requests and generate content - it is a hugely innovative, fast-paced sector  - and building awareness of the show in the run up to drive interest in key themes and support registrations.”

Head of Research & Portfolio Development for DTX Natasha Taylor stated: “Manchester is a world-leading hub of technology and innovation, which makes it the perfect place to host the biggest digital transformation and IT event the North has ever seen.

“This year is going to be the best yet - featuring a phenomenal lineup of guest speakers, a huge variety of exhibitors and some surprises on the show floor.

“DTX + UCX Manchester is the place where great minds discuss ground-breaking ideas and we can’t wait to hear what the big topics of conversation are this year.”
