We’re delighted to celebrate The Manchester College student and alumni being part of a landmark moment for technical education in Greater Manchester. Recent BBC coverage highlighted how more than 1,000 industry placements have been pledged by employers across the region, giving young people studying technical subjects the opportunity to gain real-world experience alongside their studies. Among those benefiting are TMC student programmers on the Digital Software Development T-Level, currently completing placements with leading technology employers including IBM.
As part of this landmark moment, TMC students were also invited to meet Andy Burnham, who joined students, colleges and employers to celebrate the impact of high-quality industry placements on young people’s futures.
As an educational partner with Manchester Digital, TMC is proud to work closely with industry to ensure students develop in-demand digital skills, professional confidence and clear progression routes into apprenticeships, degrees and employment.
