This is a paid Cyber Security apprenticeship in government, designed to help you start or grow a career in cyber while learning on the job.
You’ll join the Government Cyber Profession, working alongside experienced cyber specialists who protect critical systems and services used by millions of people every day.

As a Cyber Security Technologist apprentice, you’ll learn core cyber skills, including:
- Understanding cyber threats and attack techniques
- Applying cyber security best practices
- Basics of networking, security and cryptography
- Analysing risks and vulnerabilities
- Supporting cyber risk assessments and incident response
- Designing security solutions and controls
- Researching threats using recognised intelligence sources
- Communicating findings clearly through reports and presentations

What you’ll need to apply
- A Level 3 IT‑related qualification, or
